Privacy Policy

1. Information we do not collect

SkyBit does not require you to create an account or sign in. We do not collect your name, email address, or any profile information to use the app. We do not maintain our own analytics profiles that track you across other apps or websites.

2. Location data

We do not collect or store your location. If you grant location permission, your device coordinates are used only to retrieve the weather for your current position. Those coordinates are sent to the weather provider — Apple WeatherKit on iOS or OpenWeather on Android — to return a forecast, and to map services to look up place names for city search.

Your location is never stored on our servers and is never shared with advertisers. You can deny or revoke location access at any time in your device settings; SkyBit will then show a default or manually added city instead.

3. Advertising (Google AdMob)

The free version of SkyBit displays advertisements through Google AdMob, a Google advertising service. To serve and measure ads, AdMob may collect and process information such as your device's advertising identifier, IP address, device and operating-system details, and general app-usage and interaction data. Depending on your region and consent choices, ads may be personalized or non-personalized.

This processing is carried out by Google in accordance with Google's own policies. You can learn more in Google's Privacy Policy (policies.google.com/privacy) and information on how Google uses data (policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites). Where required (for example in the EEA and UK), SkyBit requests your consent before personalized ads are shown. You can reset or limit ad tracking at any time through your device's advertising settings.

Subscribing to SkyBit PRO removes ads; when ads are removed, the AdMob advertising SDK no longer serves ads to you.

4. Cities and preferences you save

The cities you add, your selected theme, units, language and other settings are stored locally on your device (and, on iOS, in a shared app group so widgets can read them). This information stays on your device and is not transmitted to us.

5. Weather data sources

Weather forecasts are provided by Apple WeatherKit on iOS and by OpenWeather on Android. Use of this data is subject to each provider's terms and attribution requirements, and the relevant attribution is shown within the app. OpenWeather data is provided under an open data license.

6. Purchases

Purchases (the SkyBit PRO subscription and one-time theme purchases) are processed by Apple's App Store or Google Play. We never see or store your payment card details. The app stores only whether a feature has been unlocked, locally on your device.

7. Children's privacy

SkyBit is a general-audience weather app and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Advertising is delivered in line with the applicable app store's policies for general-audience apps.

8. Your choices

You can control location access in your device settings, reset your advertising identifier or limit ad personalization in your device's privacy settings, and remove advertising entirely by subscribing to SkyBit PRO.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected on this page with a new "last updated" date.
